What we build to

Every site in the network aims at WCAG 2.2 AA. In practice that means semantic landmarks on every page, a visible focus ring that survives on both parchment and ink backgrounds, a skip link ahead of the navigation, and text that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a 320-pixel viewport.

Motion

Animation is limited to short entrances and hover feedback, and every one of them is switched off when your system asks for reduced motion. Nothing on these sites moves on its own or auto-advances.

Arabic

Much of the corpus is bilingual. Arabic passages are marked with the correct language and direction so that a screen reader announces them in Arabic rather than spelling them out in English, and they are set in a Naskh face at a size that is actually readable.
